Bristol Riverside (TD): Additional Productions (2007-2009)

Copenhagen
(Feb, 2008)
(Design by Greg Mitchell)

This show was the exact opposite of Absurd Person Singular.  Simple, streamlined scenery.  "Simple" doesn't mean it was easy, of course, but it was certainly a different kind of challenge than the sheer quantity of scenery in APS.  What these photos don't show too well, unfortunately, is that all the curves were elliptical; some upwards of sixty feet along their major axis.  We spent two days just laying this production out, despite it being "simpler".

The Spitfire Grill
(Sept, 2008)
(Design by Mims Mattair)

Deceptively simple, Spitfire was an interesting exercise in fabric as scenery.

Mrs. Bob Cratchit's Wild Christmas Binge
(Nov, 2007)

A massive amount of scenery, this production.  Also our first experience with digitally-printed drops and appliques (although it's difficult to tell in some photos.
